I'm home!!!!!

3-17-14

We had some great miracles this week! And we are helping one of our new investigators from this week to get ready for baptism on the 30th of this month! Also one of our other investigators told us that she is ready to take the lessons now and wants to be baptized also! The Lord truly works miracles with these people and many are receiving the full blessings of the gospel. This is a great time to be a missionary!

3-11-14

Lots of knocking on doors this week but it went great! The weather is also perfect for being outside, it stays light for longer and we I am getting a new companion, Elder Russell!

3-3-14

This week was good, we got some rain but I am one of the lucky ones that have a car and we managed to stay pretty dry out here.

2-24-14

So this week was pretty good even though we didn't have any of the people we are teaching at church. We found a man from Nigeria and he seems interested in learning more about our church.

This was a tougher week but this coming week will be great!

2-10-14

This was a great week! We had a great week and also had a chance to work with our mission president in our area and with the assistants to the president on Saturday. This week we have zone conference so we get to see our mission President again this week! I also received this great big red envelope this week and wanted to thank you all who wrote in it for the wishes! We should be having a baptism on the 22nd for Leah and Heavenly :)

This week was pretty good. We had transfers and I have a new companion from Michigan Elder Compton. He is going home at the end of this transfer so I will be getting a new companion next transfer. I remembered my camera for the pictures!

January 20^th- This week was great, we are heading into the last week of the transfers and we will be having two baptisms on Saturday! Next week we will know whether I stay or go! The weather continues in the 70's and no sign of rain anywhere.....

January 14^th- This week was good, yesterday we had interviews with our mission president and they were great! Saturday we had a temple tour with our investigators Jeanne and Callie and they loved it. On Wednesday and on Thursday I was actually on Exchanges and I was on bike all day Thursday and half the day on Wednesday. That was fun since I don't get to be on bike very often.

January 6^th- All 4 of our main investigators came to church and two are set to be baptized the 25th of this month. And the other 2 can also be baptized that day if they come to church this next two weeks! So we can have 4 baptisms at the end of this month! I was in Spanish for a day and got to see a baptism for the Spanish ward here.

January 1^st- There is not a lot new going on this week. Holidays are pretty busy for people and we did not get a chance to talk to a lot of people at their homes but managed to have some great conversations with some people outside. I'm glad Christmas was good and also I hope you had a good new year. We got together as a zone and we played some sports so that was a fun night. Tomorrow we are meeting with our investigators who are going to be baptized on the 25th of this month. I am doing a lot better right now though with being sick, just a little on my throat.

We had a good week. Johnny came to church this week so we are planning on baptizing him this Saturday at 2 pm. he weather has been pretty cold here lately but we are in car and we can wear jackets and have heating in the car :D This week we have Christmas conference with our mission president and that should be awesome, we get to go to the temple with him! We have a lot of awesome investigators and it looks like we could be having a lot of baptisms in January and maybe one more in December or 2! :D

We had Mark's baptism on Saturday and it went well, he is now a member of the church. We are getting a lot of people to teach and it is an awesome time of the year and an awesome area to be in. Also two weeks ago President Lewis came out to work with us for about two hours and it was great, I enjoyed it and he drove us around. Also I got to conduct the zone conference for Elder Baxter of the 70 and it was a pretty cool experience to have.

This week was great!

This week was super great! We were able to find a lot of new people to teach and have had a lot of support from the members in the ward. The Lord has blessed us with many miracles with people who want to listen to the gospel and we are very happy. Eduardo was baptized! It was a neat experience.

 Sorry I didn't write last week but we went to Coloma, it's where they found gold in California when the Mormon battalion was returning to Utah . I will send you some pictures from there it was great but we got home too late to email. This week we have been trying to figure out how to work with Young single adults and find people to teach so this coming week should be even better!

Arnold's baptism was great! Also there was a stake BB-Q  at a park and got to eat there with a lot of members and missionaries. My new companion is Elder Taphous and i'm still serving in the singles ward. we also had the baptism of felicitas daughter and that was great to see. lots of miracles and blessings in this area.

Not much new since Wednesday but everything is going well and we are going to be able to have Arnold's baptism on Saturday and I get the privilege to baptize him! The Lord is truly blessing everyone and we need to go out and do the work and he will lead people to us.

Arnold's baptism was great! Also there was a stake BB-Q  at a park and got to eat there with a lot of members and missionaries. I get to be with Elder Bawden for his birthday again this week on Thursday, so I get to be with him for his two mission birthdays!

We had a Spanish activity at the temple this Monday and it was super fun, it rained a lot so we were soaked missionaries because we didn't think it was going to rain or anything it was sunny where I was haha. We took our investigator on a temple tour and he liked it. He is going to be baptized on the 14th. Also one of our other investigators is going to be baptized this month but he wants to make it a surprise for his family and is going to call us today to tell us when he wants to do the baptism. Hopefully I get time to finally write all of you back, sorry it has taken so long! I have never been so busy in my life I think but it is the best experience ever :D

We were able to see the baptism of Rose this weekend and it was very special and yet again another great experience as a missionary. We have stake conference this week and those are always fun as a missionary, especially if we have to translate into spanish.

Baptism of Rose

Lots of changes and lots of missionaries! Our mission now has 250 missionaries and we are doing great. We had a baptism on Saturday for Crystal and it was a great experience to have, it is my first baptism in a YSA ward. The weather is almost perfect now woohoo!

We have a baptism coming up this Friday for Crystal and the 17th it looks like we will have another baptism for Rose :) We are also teaching someone from Africa named Sylvester and he wants to be baptized but wasn't able to make it to church this Sunday. Still getting used to church from 11am to 4pm but its great!

This week was great, We had Felicita's baptism on Saturday and I got to see it but I was not in the area anymore.We had our zone leader go home 2 weeks early because of school and I was called to be the new zone leader so I moved down the hallway and Im companions with Elder Bawden once again. 3rd time! We cover another part of the Spanish ward and we also cover a young single adult ward here. We will be having another baptism on August 9th! woohoo!

This last week went really well, we had a lot of good things that have happened lately and we once again had 4 people to church. The Lord is blessing us lots and from last weekend the baptism was moving to this coming weekend so we are baptizing again this month! And the ward is being great at being a help for all the missionaries and to do their best to help our investigators be comfortable at church.

This week has also been great, we were able to do a lot of things and we were able to have 5 people come to church with us! We had two families there and our recent convert brought his sister-in-law with him to come and see what church was like.  Our ward is doing great, they are really helping the missionaries out and they are loving having new people at church each week. Hope that the weather isn't too hot and that you all are doing well!

This week was awesome! We had a baptism!!! woohoo!! Our dear visa waiter Elder Parsons was able to have his first baptism on his mission, it was great! We had just about the perfect number of people there and it all went well and Sunday was also great because it was Fathers Day and he was able to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

07-02-13

It has been super hot here lately, over 100 since Friday. I was able to baptize the sisters investigator on Saturday so that's what that picture is from. Today we got to go to the temple and we all stayed together so that will make it super fun to be able to be together with the trio again. Saturday we are hoping to have 2 baptisms again and we are teaching this super cool lady named Felicita that could be baptized this month or the next but we hope that it is this month.

This week was once again awesome! We had another baptism!  The 4th of July was really good we had and activity with the zone and played a game called BUNKO. The weather had been really nice lately like around 90-95. I hope the weather is great down there also!

We had an awesome week, and we are having a baptism this Saturday and should be having two more on the 22nd! Time is flying by also and everything is starting to get more and more fun, our trio companionship is doing great and we are making this into missionary FUN!
